Writers’ Alley will feature 80 busts of authors who are a source of honor and pride for the national cultures that have used the Cyrillic script as a path to the minds and hearts of readers.
The Alley will lead visitors of the Courtyard into the boundless world of literature, allowing them to experience its spirit and learn more about the history of the peoples who have written and continue to write in Cyrillic. Beneath each pedestal, there will be a handful of soil from the writer’s homeland.
The busts will be created by some of the finest sculptors representing the respective nationalities of the writers. In this way, visitors will be able to discover not only the literary heritage but also the visual arts of each nation represented.
The Alley is gradually being completed. In addition to the busts already installed, you can also discover the authors whose monuments are due to be unveiled in the near future, as well as information about the artists creating them.
